Delivering for Warren-Blackwood - Our Achievements

Looking back on my first term, I’m proud of what we’ve delivered by listening to community and fighting for what matters most. Some of the key achievements include:

  • Ending native logging and securing an additional $30 million to support the South West's transition when locals said the initial package wasn’t enough

  • Stopping the Southern Forest Irrigation Scheme and delivering $15.3 million to improve water security for the Manjimup-Pemberton horticulture industry

  • Reforming the Caravanning Act so people can live in tiny homes or caravans for up to 24 months

  • Securing $550,000 for childcare in Augusta, along with securing a building and land for parking, overcoming years of roadblocks

  • A $36 million upgrade to Margaret River Senior High School, delivering new classrooms, science labs, a sports hall, and more

  • Creating 20 local jobs in Manjimup by bringing Main Roads operations in-house, improving road safety across our region

  • Enhancing outdoor experiences with $17.5 million for the Wadandi Track, $8 million for the Pemberton Trail Masterplan, and $3 million to reopen climbing access to the Gloucester and Bicentennial Trees

  • Building housing solutions, including $2.9 million for 8 social houses in Witchcliffe Eco Village, 58 worker dwellings in Cowaramup, and six new community homes at Cherry Glades in Manjimup
